Recent Cases: Over 100 investors recover a total of $26 million. |
The Gresham case was just one of over 100 cases against A.G. Edwards, William Gibbs and Susan Saccone. Although the Gresham case went to arbitration, the remaining cases were part of a settlement between the Respondents and Georgia's Secretary of State, Cathy Cox. As of April 2004, 119 cases were settled resulting in over $27 million in restitution for investors - the largest securities settlement in Georgia history. A.G. Edwards also agreed to pay a $500,000 civil penalty, the maximum fine possible under Georgia law, and to reimburse the state for its investigative costs. The settling cases were primarily handled by Ed Dovin, Sandra Malkin, and counsel in Augusta, Robert Hagler. |
